New Moon in Aries: 
Two weeks ago at the Libra Full Moon, we were asked to evaluate Libran themes such as relationships, balance, harmony, symmetry and beauty. Opposite Libra is Aries, and in its polarity, allows an understanding of how defining ourselves authentically will help to bring the right relationships into our lives.

As the beginning of the astrological cycle, Aries represents the assertion of the self.  An Aries New Moon will represent an emotional desire to form a strong and authentic sense of personal identity. It is an excellent time to focus on establishing your mighty “I AM” presence. If your self-assertion happens in a spirited, direct, passionate, dynamic, courageous, idealistic, independent or pioneering manor then the energies will fully support it. 

Below are some examples of the ways we can harness the Aries New Moon: 

• Look for ways we can be inspired to express ourselves more creatively
• Assert a clear sense of Self
• Take charge of our lives
• Notice personal appearance or what our image conveys to others
• Learning how to stand on our own two feet

​Uranus, the planet of change, originality, and liberation, will highly influence this New Moon energy with its conjunction to the Sun and Moon. This will provide an excellent opportunity to seek changes to express ourselves in exciting new ways to gain more personal freedoms and self-expression. There will be opportunities to destroy old habits, remove limitations, and liberate your life in ways you may not have even realized.

For some, it could be a revolutionary point in their lives.

Uranus is also the planet of disruption. If you have been resisting changes needed to happen for your personal development, you may find yourself encountering a sudden upset or things may not go as planned. If so, allow it to serve as a wakeup call to where you can make healthy changes for your greater good. You may feel the routines of life are no longer satisfying, and this can inspire you to strike out against any restrictions you can no longer bear. Try to be as flexible as possible around this time as pleasant surprises may appear for you to attract new or different experience which could be very exciting and allow for new avenues of self-expression.

There will also be a square from Pluto to the Sun and Moon.  A square can feel like tension or provide motivation.  If you are in touch with your authentic self, this Pluto square the New Moon will motivate you to a level of determination, vitality and persistence which can lead to transformations ready to happen in your life.

If you are struggling with personal authenticity, you may experience frustration from blocked attempts to advance in your desires or encounter powerful forces which you have trouble “controlling” in your life. Compulsive behaviors, extremes in emotions, or power struggles for “domination” are more likely to happen now, so be aware of sudden urges that may not exactly be good for you. If this should show up, it may be time to let go of old habits which cause problems. Realize the experiences are calling attention to where you may need to make changes to transform your life.  Aim for compromise and co-operation with others to achieve balance and while persisting forward with your desires.

It will be an excellent time to make powerful transformations in your life.   

Deep emotional transformations can happen at this time if you are honest with yourself. If you are following your heart and in alignment with your passions, this transit will provide you with an intensity and a determination for pursing them, and thus, likely strike a fundamental change within yourself. Jupiter’s transits will also support creative, spiritual and seemingly magical wisdom to all of the transformations happening at this time.
