transformative CO-CREATIonwith Spirit The Full Moon in Scorpio will be exact on April 29th, 2018 at 8:58 pm EST (7:58pm CST – 5:58pm PST) Two weeks ago, during the Aries New Moon, we started a whole new astrological cycle as we bursted through the Vernal Equinox into spring. We were encouraged and inspired to start anew and to assert our authentic selves out to the world. We have now arrived at the Scorpio Full Moon which is about the metamorphosis one must take after stepping out into this new cycle, to be transformed by the experience and ready to grow in new ways under the Taurus New Moon arriving thereafter. At its core, the Scorpio/Taurus relationship represents the cyclical regenerative nature of the death/re-growth process. The transformative universal cycle of life attributed to the Goddess, feminine energy. How we value ourselves and the value we offer others comes up for introspection under the Taurus Sun, and through that is a chance to make deep and powerful changes (Scorpio) to make room for the new and re-vitalized sense of self-worth. Ruled by Pluto, Scorpio is the change-agent energy which helps to transform, regenerate and rejuvenate the parts of us which are no longer useful, whether that is in a physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological, or energetic way. The Scorpio Moon will help us understand how, as Mother Nature is making her transformation from the extremes of winter into spring, we also have the opportunity to make the (albeit, sometimes temporally painful) transition to shed the skins of our past, which no longer serve us, into the metaphorical spring-time of our lives. This is our time to let go of the parts of us which must die and be discarded, so we can make way for the new. Think of the bud which feels the temporal pain in opening up to becoming the beautiful flower or the caterpillar which transforms into the butterfly. What is at least one thing in our lives that we no longer want or need for our greater good? What has served its purpose and longer works? Whatever it is, we can begin now to purge and transform it, so that we can make way for new revitalized aspects of us to grow and flourish. Below are some Scorpio/Taurus themes which can show up for evaluation at this time:
Scorpio also rules over our psychology and the subconscious realms, so the keys to our transformation may be (hidden) deep within our subconscious motives. Do you have a conscious subconscious or an unconscious subconscious? We may feel the need for introspection to benefit from letting go of those parts of us in order to create the space for something new to flourish and grow come the Taurus New Moon. The following are additional Scorpio qualities which may surface at this time:
We will want to watch for some the following less useful traits of Scorpio:
The Scorpio Full Moon has a few other energies tied to it which will influence the need to endure transformations for personal growth. Two heavenly bodies will be unaspected. Uranus and Chiron. These two represent change (Uranus) and healing (Chiron). Unaspected planets may be experienced as strong and dominant, or excessive and vulnerable to isolation. This will be our choice come the Full Moon. Awareness will be key towards using these two powerful energies productively. They can go either way. With positive direction, unaspected planets can become a very strong asset. Uranus can heighten the focus on making progressive change while enhancing individuality, uniqueness and freedom into our lives and to see things in terms of a greater societal significance. An unruly Uranus is known to cause disruption and be the rebel without a cause. Chiron is the potent healer of the zodiac as a result of our deep soul wounds. It can help us heal or exacerbate the pain in order to wake us up to the areas of life needing the healing to take place. We also have a Grand Fixed Cross in the sky forming right at the degree of the Full Moon with the Nodes of the Moon in Leo and Aquarius. This means that we will be motivated to evaluate our sense of self-worth or self-esteem, (Taurus), our will to create and thrive (Leo), allow for emotional vulnerability and trust in the transformative process (Scorpio) and open up to change, greater freedoms, both personally and world-wide (Aquarius). All four points will be in fixed signs. Because the fixed energy is so stabilizing, a natural inclination could be to hold the status-quo and resist outside pressures to change. So, resistance may become an issue. (This is where the unaspected Uranus and Chiron will play out in our lives for better or for worse.) One of the reasons for a Grand Fixed Cross is to bring up lessons we have failed to learn over and over again, and are now deeply ingrained patterns of behaviors and ways of responding to life. We typically assert these behaviors through our willpower (ruled by the Sun) to keep us feeling emotionally secure. However, this is where the Scorpio moon will come in and help us trust in the transformation process, although it can be scary or painful at times and make us feel vulnerable. The Fixed Grand Cross is now asking us to tone down and humble our wills to force things to change vs. applying attention to how we can co-create with the spiritual dimensions of life and allow life to flow with more co-operation and creativity instead. This is a time where we will be tested to acknowledge the worth of self and self-mastery (Taurus), by allowing for a personal metamorphosis to unfold (Scorpio). By humbling our need to assert our wills aggressively and be co-creative instead with our spirits (Fixed Grand Cross), we can open up our hearts (Leo), and live our lives more freely (Aquarius). When we have a better understating of how these energies are playing out in our lives at the moment, we can then confidently initiate the change we must make for healing (Uranus and Chiron unaspected). Once we do make this change, the fixed energy will continue in a steady and progressive pace. Like a locomotive, it could be slow to start but once in motion, stays on track and is exceedingly difficult to stop until it has run its course. Pay attention to the realizations that are happening for you around the Scorpio Full Moon, and the intentions you are sending out to the Universe under the upcoming Taurus New Moon. Now is the time where they will stabilize and grow, for better for worse. Make it amazing and beneficial my friends! The Scorpio Full Moon can be a deeply powerful and cathartic time. Ultimately, since the Moon and Sun will square the nodes in this Grand Fixed Cross, with a great deal of self-love (Sun) and self-nurturance (Moon), we will experience our unfolding destinies (Nodes of the Moon) as we are able to open our hearts (Leo) and allow for more personal freedoms in our lives (Aquarius). Saturn will also trine the Sun and the Moon. This will allow us to apply the self-confidence needed to power through and be disciplined, channel self-responsibility, patience, reliability and honestly in tapping into these powers. Saturn will provide the emotional fortitude to understand how to incorporate new structures of support, so you can move through this energy smoothly without facing obstructive challenges and drawing upon your fullest potentials. Shrewd common sense will come easily to areas where opportunities to express your potential are available. Neptune trining the Moon is a truly beautiful aspect and supportive of the ability to be creative at this time for emotional well-being. We may find we have a more generous spirit, feel warm and compassionate towards others, and aware of the social dimension to life. It will allow us to tap into our inner realms, be more emotionally aware of the need for beauty and goodness to shine through this transformative process, and for a successful outcome to manifest. It will enrich our powers of perceiving the more sublime states of our inner realms in working with the laws of attraction and turning our dreams into reality! So harness these powers and ride the cosmic energy waves! Remember, self-love and self-nurturance at this time and may the force be with you my beautiful sisters!
