As the wheel of the year progresses from Lughnashdh’s harvesting and Mabon’s reflection point we come upon Samhain’s magnificent displays of energy transformation.
 
Now past the balanced Vernal equinox gateway, the Moon and her beams tip the scale and grow in strength, leaves fall, and the winds of change push the Sun to its final decent to death.
 
The downward plunge creates an energetic spin. A vortex is created from the transformative twisting of energy awakening the super natural forces within the Universe. Hurricanes and tornadoes become more prevalent allowing spirits, entities and ancestors to get a little closer.
 
The veil, as they say, becomes thin between the seen and the unseen realms. This is the Scorpio energy of Samhain. 
 
The waning Taurus Full Moon encourages us to slow down, ground, and stabilize so we can find the center point within us and regain self-mastery through the eye of this transformative vortex. 
 
Scorpio rules the psyche, the deep soul within us. If we are not centered within our soul, we become fragmented, caught up in the chaos and psychological shadows sides are triggered.   
 
This is the Halloween ritual of exposing the “skeletons in the closet.”  Our Halloween costumes every year represent the recognition of these ghoulie alter ego fragments of our souls needing to be exposed and purged.
 
It is a time of year to recognize and celebrate the quintessential feminine Goddess principles of the death and rebirth or renewal cycles of Nature.
 
The shedding of the “skeletons in our closets” will allow the regenerative and renewal process of our Psyche’s development to progress forward. 
 
If we can allow the transformative, renewal process to take place and let go of the parts of us we no longer need, the coming Yule season promises a lightness of heart and feelings of deep emotional security.

During this time of transformation, Venus is summoning us to consider what it is that makes our hearts sing from a very deep place within us, from our souls. 

Strong desires may emerge, urging you to act on a deeper knowing of what you need and the steps to make it happen. You will be rewarded and effective at taking charge if you do. Avoid stubborn power struggles and seek transformational diplomacy with a fair win-win. These energies are ripe for making quick and powerful changes, from contrasting thoughts or changed opinions, and any rigidity may make you crack under the pressure. Aim to be inventive and innovative to keep progressing. 

Additionally, we have been healing our relationships to anyone posing as an authority figure. Focus on building a maturing level of inner authority over your own life and support external authority that is aligned with your values. Shed what doesn’t match, or transform it to further define peace and love in your life. Communicate through balanced and diplomatic negotiations, taking care to be objective and to see the other side.

Beautiful opportunities for spiritual healing can come from this, reaching new levels of consciousness that will allow for greater stability and security in our lives. Some are falling in love with soul mates. Some are healing soul contracts with the loved ones. Some may even be in court negotiating divorces or untangling from the grips of a karma-mate affecting your life in some way.

Any of the situations that may show up are meant to motivate you to make the necessary changes to feel a greater sense of simplicity and stability come the waxing Full Moon in Taurus. By initiating a balance in all aspects of life now, you will be setting up the energies appropriately to reach the stability we will be seeking in two weeks at the Full Moon.
